What is it?

The Guinness Record holder for the largest parade of costumed animals has delighted families for 21 years. The parade is open to all (dogs, cats, goldfish, llamas, etc.) The parade snakes its way through Soulard stepping off at Allen and Menard, concluding at 8th and Lafayette, by Soulard Market.

What is the Cost?

If you are walking in the parade, we ask that you make a $10 donation to the Open Door Animal Sanctuary, a no-kill shelter. It is free to watch the parade.

Where do I Park?

Anywhere in and around Soulard you can legally park.

What can I do?

If you have a beloved pet, properly festoon them in the Mardi Gras appropriate attire, make a $10 donation to the Open Door Animal Sanctuary and march in the parade! If you don’t have a pet, but love a colorful, kitschy, fun parade, then pack up the family and head to Soulard to watch!!

Are There Going to be Other Activities?

The answer is YES! Post-parade, check out the coronation ceremony by the market where the best-costumed dogs will be crowned King and Queen of Barkus. Enjoy racing?
