Join us for a family friendly day of winter fun Mardi Gras style. Saturday, January 23, 2010 from 11 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The first ever U.S. Cellular Family Winter Carnival in Soulard Market Park (in front of Soulard Market on the Lafayette Avenue side) will feature:
U.S. Cellular Big Tent
The 60’ X 120’ heated tent offers:
- Arts and Crafts activities like Make Your Own Mardi Gras Crowns and Masks
- Family friendly performances on the main stage
- Kid Karaoke giving kids the chance to be a star
- Joanie’s Pizza and other goodies available for purchase
- Saint Louis Science off Center activities and Segway time trials
Rams Quarterback of the Future Skills Challenge
- The Rams and U.S. Cellular are giving your budding football star the chance to show his/her stuff in the Quarterback Skills Challenge
- Kids try to throw footballs through inflatable targets
- They can win great prizes courtesy of the Rams and U.S. Cellular
Laclede Gas Gashouse Gang Corner Featuring the Art Walls
- A 8’ tall by 32’ wide wall will be available in the Market Park for kids to paint what they want
- The wall will be displayed at various Mardi Gras events throughout the Carnival season like the Beggin’ Barkus Pet Parade
U.S. Cellular Children's Parade
- At 4:00 p.m. children will have the chance to wear the masks and costumes they made in an actual parade through Soulard
Parade begins at 9th and Lafayette proceeds south to Soulard St where it turns east to 8th, and then north again where it turns north and ends in front of Soulard Market at 8th and Lafayette
